UNLV BUDDIES AT A GLANCE
Who Are We?
UNLV Buddies is a student organization that tutors and mentors K-5 students at a local elementary school. This organization was founded in 2009. Our goal is to help students academically in math, reading, and writing as well as act as role models. We hope to build relationships with children and create an impact that will last them a lifetime as they progress through their education.
ACTIVITIES
We complete worksheets with the students based on each grade levels proficiency. We also have field days to promote healthy habits along with occasional team-building exercises and holiday themed activities. These activities are extremely engaging for the students and mentors to participate in.
